Biography

Kim Reisenauer is a Physician Assistant serving as an Advanced Practice Practitioner for the USC Floyd School of Medicine with Brain Health.

As part of the USC Brain Health Network, Kim sees patients who are referred for memory problems. She reviews comprehensive clinical cognitive evaluations conducted by her Speech-Language Pathologist colleagues, discusses the findings with patients and their caregivers, and develops care plans that are then recommended to the referring primary care providers. 

Kim graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois in 1992 with an undergraduate degree in Biology. She earned a Master’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 1994. Kim worked as the assistant athletic trainer at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and then at Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina. She returned to school and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina Physician Assistant Program in 2000. Kim then worked as a Family Medicine Physician Assistant for 25 years at Colonial Family Practice in Sumter, South Carolina. She treated acute medical problems and managed multiple chronic medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension and dementia.

Kim lives in Sumter, South Carolina with her husband Eric. They have two sons. She enjoys gardening and caring for her backyard chickens.
