Benny joined our office in Fall 2026 after completing a Master of Science degree in Geological Sciences here at USC, where his research focused on student perceptions of accessibility within an introductory lab course. During his program, he developed a number of digitally accessible tools and learning modules that are utilized within GEOL-101 labs. Prior to this, he earned a B.A. and a B.S. from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota with concentrations in science and mathematics education. He also has experience with using assistive technology in both informal and non-traditional environments.

Outside of work, he is an active studio member at the City of Columbia's Art Center downtown, where he makes handbuilt ceramic pieces. He can also be found on the USC Horseshoe playing Pokemon Go, or walking his cat Pixel.
