Associate professor Brett Robertson believes education goes beyond content delivery — it should challenge students to think critically, empower them to engage with real-world problems and inspire tangible impact. Mungo Undergraduate Teaching Award for his commitment to quality classroom instruction.

Chris Burkett, the assistant dean for student services in the College of Education, has been a member of Staff Senate since its inception five years ago, representing his colleagues in education before moving to the executive committee. He became president in August.

He was elected to the National Academy of Inventors’ 2024 Class of Fellows, the highest professional distinction awarded to inventors.
